This is Part 2 of a two part show.

We took a deep dive into the topic of chores. In the first part we talked about our feelings about the word-chores, shared our own experiences of growing up doing chores, unpacked the why of assigning chores to kids, started a discussion of ages and development and expectations and answered a listener question.

As well as, we talked about the importance of parental attitude, engaging kids seamlessly into the process using playfulness and teaching crucial lessons and life-long skills, like responsibility and helpfulness and imparting our values without control.

In this part we continue the discussion of what kids are capable of doing at different ages, we both share how we do chores with our own kiddos, answer some fantastic listener questions, talk about intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, and tell you what we think about paying kids for doing chores. A super-packed, useful and really helpful episode sprinkled with humor and fun.

Think of this episode as a masterclass on chores. Read the article we mentioned in this epsiode.
