What is your definition of HOME? What do you call home? Is it people or is it a place for you? Where do you feel most at home?

In our society and in the world in general people move a lot from place to place and establish lives in new places. Transitions, cultures, cultures shocks, identity shifts, evolution...

Today we are talking about the hardship of uprooting.

My guest for this episode is Bridgett Miller is a mother of two and lives with her family in Vancouver, Canada.

She has a background in education, remedial therapy and psychology and is an authorized facilitator of Dr Gordon Neufeld's developmental relational approach. Bridgett is an educator, speaker and a behavioural consultant who supports caring adults make deeper sense of the children in their lives.

You can find out more by visiting her Facebook and Instagram accounts:

Bridgett is originally from South Africa and in her own words she is still a South African at heart. I ask her to expand that.

Also...

-how lonely and isolated she felt when they moved to a completely new country with two young kids

-lack of social support

-how her identity changed as mother, woman and individual

This is one emotional episode for me. I have not been to my country of origin in 13 years.

-I share about my upcoming travel plans, mixed feelings, and fears

-the fact that my daughter has not my dad yet

-and much more
